Dee's Asdotcom Anniversary Special Lalapalooza Featuring the Creative Works and Plagerisms of Dee

Dear Shaun,

Wow, Ok... So writing a guest entry isn't as easy as I thought it would be. Here I am expecting to just sit down, spew something out, and move on with my life. But it's just not that simple. Cause I'm thinking, first of all, this is for my good friend Shaun, so it has to be up to par with the rest of his work. He's quite witty and amusing you know (and you should, being as you're him). Plus, apparently I'm not the only one doing a guest entry. Shocking I know. But there are apparently three other brilliant, witty, amusing, and good looking people doing entries to celebrate this, the 'Anonymous Superhero Diaryland First Anniversary'. I am completely lost in all of this. The only thing I could come up with was asking my friends and fellow Diarylanders to help me come up with something. So I started asking around... and this is what I (read: THEY) came up with.

Hmm...guest entry... lesse. Heh, but lemme think...

How about writing about the new flick, the Hulk? There's loads of playup about it, but how many people actually enjoyed it? I mean... I know that Spiderman did incredibly well, as did X Men, and a lot of people love Batman movies, but what makes them think they can make a movie out of every comic book that ever existed?

Watch out... Strong Badman and Lil Stiny coming to a theater near you.

(Wonder if that helped any...)

-Ghostiness

Umm...I'm usually good with getting other people started. How about you write about how he's improved your life, or how your life would be so (____) (adjective) without him? You could rewrite memories, rants, complaints, praise...Anything. I'm not really sure how to help but I hope I did.

But from that all I could come up with was: "Shaun has improved my life like The Hulk. Both are Superheros and they both like the color green... I think. But no one has made a movie of Shaun's life yet. They should though, because that would be some super funny stuff. Especially that stuff about Pete's Mom cause that stuff is gold! So in conclusion, my life would be so... suspicious with out Shaun.

But after I reread that I had a feeling that wasn't what either of my two online friends were implying by their thoughtful and helpful suggestions. And I really didn't think that short little thought was good enough for your anniversary. So it was time to pull out the big guns. I figured I'd have to get someone to write the entry for me. You know a guest entry done entirely by Guests?! It was brilliant! Even if I do say so myself. I asked around and do to very underwhelming response I got one reply to my desparate request. It was however good enough to stand alone.

I write essays well under pressure. That's why I leave them to the last minute. Last-minute pressure, that's the best kind of pressure. In fact, the less time I have to do the essay, the better my grade. It's a fact. A scientific one, I'm sure. I must think too much… ya, that's it. I think too much. Too much time, too much thought, too much second guessing, too low a grade on my essay. Or, it's that I enjoy the challenge, and, much like the gifted child in remedial classes, I get bored with the ease of the work and therefore tend to do poorly. (Ya, either of those stories work with me!)

So, following that premise you'd think, writing a guest entry would prove to be the same. Leave it until the last minute, some stroke of creative genius will strike, fantabulous entry ensues.

Nope. Not true. In fact, I loose all creative ability, and apparently any hint of intelligence, as proven by my inability to spell genius a minute ago for which I consistently type guinea each time I tried to corrected it. Fantastic. That's some stroke of guinea I have there!

So, the moral of my story (since I do have one) is: Candy tastes better from strangers, especially if you've spoken to this stranger incessantly. Oh wait, maybe the moral has something to do with scissors and running… I don't know anymore.

But I figured that this was WAY better than anything I had ever written before and I would soon be brought out as a cheater and a fake. This would be bad (just in case you weren't sure). Plus I couldn't do that to the one person who, though a complete stranger, decided to help me out in my time of need. So I give full and total credit to this awesome rant to its original owner: Paper-Girl She is my new hero uh... other than... 'The Hero'... who is you (duh!).

So I guess I really didn't come up with much, even though I've had a really long time to write this. I am really sorry that I couldn't come up with something to write about for your guest entry Anniversary thing. I guess you'll just have to do a "re-run" episode or something. Oh and I'm really sorry for the time I anonymously called your office pretending to be the police and told you that Pete's dead. He was just on vacation. I think. But he could have been sitting in his cubicle too. Which could have explained why you said "He's not dead... he's right here" and then I hung up. I'm also sorry for lying about calling your office pretending to be the police. I never did that. But it would have been cool if I did. Ok. I'm going to go now. Sorry. Maybe next time I'll have a good guest entry for you. Really. I mean. I couldn't be this blocked every time right?

Ok. Sorry.

Bye.

Dee
