Not A Big Dat "Phan"

I'm finding it pretty hard to swallow that Dat Phan beat Ralphie Mae in Last Comic Standing. I've never seen an episode of American Idol, but I believe I can now relate.

Dat Phan recycled jokes throughout the entire show. I realize that when you're doing a tour you can tell the same jokes over and over, but when you're doing bits for the same audience, it's usually a good idea to switch things up a bit. All he had was one routine where all the bits were about Vietnamese.

Ralphie May was clearly more funny, especially on the night of the voting with his No War for Oil bit. He may not have been the funniest guy while in the house, but on the mic he was the most consistantly funny followed closely by Dave Mordal.

This whole contest turned out to be Last Underdog Standing: The Search for America's Most Likable Underdog instead of the search for the funniest person in America.

Also, does anyone know why Dat's haircut changed 12 times over the course of a 9 week show?
