Have Your Shave and Eat It Too

Why are people still saying to be careful of razors in apples? 1) What kid goes trick or treating and eats the healthy fruit given them?
2) I haven't seen razors sold in my lifetime. Where are people still buying razors that don't come with a disposable head? Isn't this sort of like telling people not to spread smallpox by putting it in people's fallout shelters?
