Ping Pong of Life
Sunday, Aug. 04, 2002 - 10:40 PM

Sometimes life is like a ping pong game.

You're in the rythm -- back and forth, back and forth, back and forth -- and suddenly all you get is -- back and forth, back....

Where did the forth go? Your forther went to go play shuffle board. It's at these times you sit and ponder and wonder the meaning of it all. Because you were quite happy backing. But the forther decided they wanted to shuffle instead. What's up with that?

Maybe your backing isn't enough. Maybe the forther doesn't enjoy your backing. Or maybe they sprained their wrist.

In any case, ping pong is boring by yourself. And it makes you lonely and sad. Because man, is ping pong fun.

New ping pong partner? I guess. Although it's hard to get in the rythm with a new ping pong partner. They're taller and hit the ball with different spin than the last one.

I suppose all good things must come to an end. I just wish the good things weren't in 2x replay while the end is in slow motion.

Disect that, Freud.
