Crystal Meth in the '50s

And I quote: DEAR ABBY: My boyfriend and I have been going together for two years. I love him, but am worried because he is a drug dealer. He is obsessed with making money and says he's going to be selling drugs forever. Does anyone else see the humor in using the '50s term "going together" in relation to this girl's relationship with a drug dealer? Maybe it's just me.
