What exactly is that sound that electric alarm clocks make supposed to be? Were they going for some kind of mechanical rooster? The sound of someone slamming on the breaks repeatedly? Nails on a chalk board? Why not just make it a pleasant voice saying, "Excuse me... it's time to get up now"? This was my very first thought of the day.
