The Great Scientific Test
Wednesday, Oct. 01, 2003 - 1:16 PM

A new study by the University of Paradoxal Research and Technology of England shows that words, when their letters are arranged correctly between the first and last letter of a word, are read faster than words who have all but the first and last letter of a word scrambled. The scientific test, which was conducted over lunch, showed conclusive results.

"We've never conducted such an experiment before," said the lead researcher, Dr. Commonsense. "We never saw a need to until the recent scientific experiment by the Feudal Academic Research Center of England."

The results showed that spelling a word with the letters in the correct order was 64% more efficient than words with the middle letters scrambled, 82% more efficient than words with the whole word scrambled, and an astonishing 98% more effiecient than words with letters taken out and then scrambled.
